Lineup takes straight-ahead Jazz to a new level.

Paying tribute to the Famous West-Coast school of Jazz made famous in the 1950s & 60s by Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, Lennie Tristano, Gerry Mulligan, Miles Davis, Warne Marsh, Lineup takes the “lines” (melodies) and attitude of these great musicians and weaves them into an effortless modern sound.

One of the most respected musicians in the world, Gary Foster, anchors the group with his inventive improvisations and sterling sound. One of LA’s young lions, David Sills, is well known for his inventive rhythmic lines which make him a perfect counterfoil for Foster’s playing. Tom Rainier is one of the busiest session players in the LA studio scene and a favorite of Jazz musicians. . . when they can get him. Zac Matthews and Dean Koba round out the group with just the right kind of supportive rhythm section playing and interesting solos that are required of this high caliber ensemble.
